Shared note	Joseph was a native of Annapolis, MD, lived in Georgetown for many years, and worked for the Treasury Department. There is a record of his marriage to Elizabeth Wilmot in the St. Anne's Parish Register which is in the Maryland State Archives. Horatio Jones Brewer apparently confused Joseph with Joseph Newton Brewer, son of William, and thus listed William as his ancestor, rather than John V. Since this record lists the groom's parents as John and Susan, there can be little doubt that Horatio was wrong. Facts about this person: Alt. Born January 10, 1770/71
