He was at Plymouth, Ma., in 1637, and was made freeman of Plymouth Colony, 2 Jan.1637/8. He served as Deputy for Marshfield to Plmouth General Court, Jun 1641, Jun 1642, and Oct 1645. He was Supervisor of Highways at Marshfield, Jun 1647, and on the Grand Jury, Jun 1648. [Shurtleff's Plymouth Colony Records, 1-49, 74; 2-16, 40, 94, 115, 124, 134.] Qualifying ancestor, Society of Colonial dames of America, and The Society of Colonial Wars.
