| Shared note | !David settled in Southington, where his mother had relatives living, and purchased real estate there in 1762. He was a soldier both in the French and Indian War and in the Revolution. In the former, he served from Apr.9, to Nov.16,1758, under Capt. Eldad Lewis of Southington, in the 7th Co., 2d Regt.; from Apr.1, to Nov.23,1760, under Capt. Thomas Wilmot of New Haven, in the 1st Co., 3d Regt.; and from Mar.15 to Dec.3,1762 under Capt. Lewis again, in the 7th Co., 2d Regt. He was with Putnam when waylaid by the French and Indians between Fort Anne and Fort Edward. He served as Sergeant in Capt. Asa Bray's Co., Col. Noadiah Hooker's Militia Regt., from Apr.3 to May 15,1777, in the Revolutionary War. Connecticut Archives show that he was serving as Sergeant at Fishkill in Oct. 1777.
