BIOGRAPHY Lois Flyte: "The manumission papers for Elisabetha in Grotzingen indicated that she was poor, and so was only charged the office fee for permission to emigrate to America with her husband and two children... Magdalena must have died prior to sailing, as only Peter, Elisabetha and Margaretha are shown on the records as leaving. Elisabetha apparently died soon after arriving in Philadelphia, as Peter was married [again] in 1735..."
