[71] OBITUARY - Another old resident passed away on Sunday last in the person of Mrs GREEN, relict of the late Mr David GREEN, at the advanced age of 80. Mrs GREEN had been in failing health for some time past, so that her demise was not unexpected. Deceased was a native of Londonderry, and came to the colony with her family about 30 years since, and settled at Winton, where her sons, Messrs Richard, Robert, David and William GREEN, at present reside. She was the mother of Mrs D. LINDSAY, Mrs CAWSEY (Kyneton), Mrs REDFERN (Melbourne) and Mrs WELLS (Glenrowan). During her long and well-spent life she gained the esteem of all classes of the community by her many amiable qualities, and the respect in which she was deservedly held was evinced by the large attendance at the funeral, which took place on Sunday, the remains being interred in the Winton cemetery.
