 After the death of her husband, Isabel Sackett was granted by the colony's court the authority to administer his estate on November 3, 1635 - the same session of court when it was famously decreed that Roger Williams be banished from the colony.  She did not remain in Newtown for long, though, for in June of 1636 she and her two sons accompanied Rev. Hooker and the rest of his congregation as they removed to Connecticut. Of that journey, Charles Weygant quotes from an account that reads:
 "Mr. Hooker and about 100 men, women, and children... traveled more than 100 miles through a hideous wilderness to Hartford.  They made their journey over mountains, through swamps, thickets, and rivers, which were not passable but with great difficulty.  They had no cover but the heavens, nor any lodgings but those that simple nature offered them. They drove more than 160 head of cattle and carried their packs and some utensils.  This adventure was the more remarkable, as many of the company were persons of figure, who had lived in England in honor, affluence and delicacy, and were entire strangers to fatigue and danger."
 After the company arrived and settled at Hartford, Isabel the widow Sackett became the second wife of William Bloomfield.
