Achsah Marie Hutchins, daughter of Noah II Hutchins and Phoebe Ann Tanner, was born on December 23, 1838 in Orleans, Jefferson, New York and died on May 15, 1915 in Anamosa, Jones, Iowa at the age of 76.
Shared note | part of obituary: "Achsah M. Hutchins, daughter of Noah and Phebe Hutchins, was born in Orleans, Jefferson County, New York, December 23, 1838. She came with her parents to Iowa when 16 years of ae and resided at Lamotte, Jackson county, Iowa for several years. She was married to Nelson Potter November 5, 1857. To this union three cildren were born - H. H. Potter, A. N. Potter and MRs. W. H. Ary of Rolla, Missouri. She spent most of her life in or near Anamosa, where she was well known and greatly respected b a large circle of friends. While she never identified herself with any church she lived close to God in her quiet, unassuming way, and often repeated the Lord's prayer in her last sickness and expressed herself in many ways as having faith in a personal Savior. She was united in marriage to F. J. Fish March 21, 1896. He died in September 1913. She lived in her present home for the last 30 years, where she passed away May 15, 1915, after a lingering illness.
