Shared note

Issac later moved to Tolland, Connectiicut, around 1745. He died August 26, 1775, and was buried in the South Cemetery in Tolland. The headstone of his grave which is still discernable reads: "Here Lyes Interred the BOdy of Isaac Fellows, who was born Sept. ye 1st 1696 and Decesed Sep-August 26, A.D. 1755 in ye 59 years of his Age." The uncertainty over the Sept-August date was probably due to the confusion then in effect over the introduction of the new Gregorian calendar into the American colonies around the year 1752. source: Mark Fellows via
