MAFRANKL] Wendell, MA Marriage Intentions Part 2 Guilford Whitney of Marlborough, Vt. and Anna Lock of Wendell Dec.3,1792

Regarding the Guilford Whitney that Allan Green found in Marriage Intentions of Marlborough, VT, he not only is found in Pierce, #1844, but he removed to Strongsville, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio about 1817. The "History of Cuyahoga Co., Ohio" by Johnson gives a few pages of information. His children were Flavel, Jubal, Vina, Betsey, and Hollis who married Charlotte Wallace, the township's 1st marriage. Guilford was a son of Samuel Jr. and Phebe (Harrington) Whitney and he was born 2 Jan., 1769, Shrewsbury, VT. He died at Strongsville 20 Jan., 1831 and his wife then married a Mr. Finney of Oberlin, Ohio.
