Shared note

An Amos Whitney had a marriage intent to a Patty Wilder of Sterling published in Stow 11 Dec 1813. This man is 29 and is probably the one in this intent, there are no other appearances of an Amos Whitney in the marriage records portion of the VR's. Some other confirmatory evidence would be needed.

Further, there is a marriage record in the Stow VR's for a Lucebe Whitney, 33, d. Amos to Silas Newton, blacksmith of Sudbury in 1849 would make her born in 1816, three years after the marriage mentioned above, also, of course, in Stow.
