    1. Isaiah Whitney, son of Isaiah Whitney and Persis Randle, was born on December 13, 1764 in Harvard, Worcester, MA and died on November 30, 1839 in Rindge, NH at the age of 74. He married Dorcas Whitman, daughter of , on April 20, 1788 in Stow, Middlesex, MA. She was born about 1767 in Of Stow, Middlesex, MA.

"Whitney Genealogy" (Pierce?) Dr. Isaiah Whitney studied medicine with Dr. Charles Whitman, of Stow, and subsequently was married to his daughter. They moved to Rindge, N.H., in 1790, where he ever after resided. He was much respected as a citizen, and as a skillful and conscientious physician. He was appointed postmaster, Apr. 15, 1830, and died while holding the office.
