Shared note

At the probate of an estate on 21 Aug 1776, probably her father's, who died in 1774, Eliphalet Robins, gentleman, of Cambridge, was appointed guardian of Jemima and Mary, minors under 14, children of Israel Whitney, late of Watertown, deceased, and posted bond with Deacon Samuel Fisk of Watertown as surety. Her mother, Jemima Robbins Whitney, was first named administrator of her husband's estate, but is mentioned no further. No death record for a Jemima Whitney is included in the Watertown Whitney Extracts.
