    1. Johannes Meyer, son of Christian Meyer and Ann Geertruy Theunyes, was born in West Camp, New York. He married Maria Osterhout, daughter of Teunis Osterhout and Catrina Legg, on November 2, 1753 in Saugerties. She was baptized on July 28, 1734 in Bap. At Kingston.

Johannes was received into Katsbaan church 29 Sept. 1742. His home was on the present site of the John Michael Genthner house at Saugerties. He was a signer of the Articles of Association at Kingston in April, 1775, and was a member of First Regiment Ulster County Militia in the Revolution
