Trained to be a schoolteacher at Univ. of Vienna, family was well off in Vienna. Apparantly very little contact with them after marriage. He and wife and children lived in Munich before and during WWI but moved back to Vienna. He was an artist. Moved later to Upper Austria where he was caretaker of a small castle. He had a heart attack crossing a bridge, died and was missing several days before his wife found what happened.
