Lewis Vincent Lawrence, son of Edgar Lawrence and Ethel Emma Davis, was born on November 14, 1917 in Canada and died on December 6, 1988 in Osnard CA at the age of 71. He married Maria Ann Thompson, daughter of Michael Thompson and Maria Ann Stecroix,. She was born on July 20, 1911 in Canada and died in September 1988 in CA at the age of 77.
| Shared note | July 14, 1983, sang for Louis Brochet "The Wreck of the Mitzpah". He told a tale of a captain approaching England, seeing the Lord Mayor of London driving horses on the sea at great speed. On arrival to London, the captain discovered that the Lord Mayor had died some days before. Mr. Edgar was in appearance a very "Norman" type- about six feet tall, spry and thin, sinewy with largs limbs and hands. He sang with the melodious voice of a sailor. He died at Collingwood, Ontario in January of 1990. |
