Shared note

Robert Ward does not place this person in the family of Nathaniel and Mercy (Robinson) Whitney, and there seems little place for him in the sequence of children. However, the "Bits of Genealogy" to be found at the end of the Whitney Extracts from the printed Weston Vital Records places Israel in this family, between James and Susanna, and the children are given in birth order in this source. The source does say TWELVE children and then names thirteen, so perhaps Israel is included in error. There is no mention of him in either the Watertown or Weston Vital Records themselves, only in the end inclusion.
