His estate was probated 14 May 1759, Waltham, Middlesex, MA; John Whitney, cordwainer, of Waltham, with Jonas Dix, yeoman, and Jonas Smith, Jr., yeoman, both of Waltham, sureties, was appointed of the estate of his father, Elnathan Whitney, late of Waltham, decd.; his estate was probated 28 May 1759 in Waltham; inventory of real estate and distribution were made by Jonas Smith, Daniel Child, and Jonas Dix, who determined that all was to be settled on the oldest son, John Whitney; his estate was probated 27 Aug 1759, Waltham, inventory exhibited; 24 Apr 1760 administration acknowledged in Roxbury by Ebenezer Whitney, brother of the administrator; 28 Apr 1760 estate settled on John Whitney, eldest son, and payments to be made to brothers and sisters Aaron, Ebenezer, Elnathan and Sarah Whitney.
