| Shared note | Pat died in a car accident when Rex and Pat were retiring to Banora Point, N.S.W.. It was raining at the time and the road was very slippery. There is a paper clipping in the Photo Album about the accident. Pat's death was caused by the seat belt breaking her rib, which pierced her heart. She died instantly, Rex was admitted to hospital with shock and a small scratch on his leg. Pat's ashes are interred in the Orange Cemetery with her parents. Pat was educated at the Convent in Bourke before coming to Orange.¨ |
