Richard Bryan, son of Alexander Bryan and Ann Baldwin, was born in 1632 in Aylesbury, Co. Bucks, England and died in 1689 at the age of 57. He married 3 times. The first time he married Mary Pantry, daughter of William Pantry and Margaret Unknown, in 1649. She was born in 1615 and died before 1679. The second time he married Mercy Wilmot, daughter of Benjamin Wilmot and Elizabeth (Heaton), on July 15, 1679 in Milford, New Haven Co., CT. She was born on February 16, 1646 and died in 1687 at the age of 40. The third time he married Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Michael Powell and Abigail Unknown, on July 17, 1689. She was born in 1625 and died in 1708 at the age of 83.

| Shared note | S.R. Durand: "Robert Baldwin, father of Anne (Baldwin) Bryan, was born on a farm held in the manor of Dudridge in about 1577. In the next year his eldest brother Richard and his father Henry Baldwin acquired the manor from Sir John Pakington. Robert Baldwin resided on lands obtained by inheritance, and at North Church in Hertfordshire. He also held lands in Flaunden in the same county. He died young, between March 22, 1606, the date he made his will, and April 1, 1606, when it was proved. His wife's name was Jane, and from his will it is indicated that her maiden name was Robinson and she was from Henley-upon-Thames, Oxfordshire. She survived him.
