Shared note | Joseph Schubert (1854-1909)was born at Raymond Terrace in 1854, the second child of Wilhelm Schubert and Eva Elizabeth Martin. Occupation shown on certificates as Bush Laborer and farmer. He married Lucy Claydon/Hadley at her parents home in Forster on 6 November 1876. He has made his mark on the childrens certificates which indicates that he could not read or write his name. Their children were: Joseph and William (born 20 February 1878 at Forster. William died at the Goulburn Reformatory Hospital 7 January 1936) at Foster. Joseph was the first born of the twins. William married Mary Jane Mann 31 July 1901. Joe died 1954. Eva Elizabeth (1880) married Fred Laurie and then George Wylie 7 January 1913; Clara (Girlie) (1884) married Frank Harper and died 1967; Fred (1885) married Florence Mudford; George (1886) married Sophia Ryan in 1912. He died 1972; Christina (Bib) (1888) married William Brown. She died on 23 May 1964, he died 7/2/50; Arthur (1889); James (1890); Charles (1892) married Lilly Green; Mabel (1894) died 1981; Francis (Jeff) (1896); Albert (1898); Stanley (Bob) (1900); Lennox Garfield (Roy) (1902) married Mary Higgs Joseph lived at Peg Leg Creek Tinonee until his death on 19 December 1909 of Cirrhosis of the liver.
