| Shared note | [php1.FTW] A lady in Booree Creek told me that Tom was very handsome, tall, and he used to ride into tow n on a beautiful horse and all the girls would watch him the whole way. They were all in lov e with him. He went to school at Booree Creek and then St Josephs, Hunters Hill. While at St Josephs, whe re he began in 24 March 1912 aged 12 years and 8 months, his home address was Borree Creek Ho tel, via Lockhart. He left St Joeys in December 1915. The Prize list shows that in 1912 h e was in the 4A class and was placed 4th in Good Conduct and 3rd in Application, 3rd in Austr alian history, 2nd in Arithmatic and 1st in Practical Geometry. In 1913 he was in the 5B class and was placed 4th in Aggregate, 3rd in Arithmatic, 3rd in i n Geometry and 1st in Drawing. In 1914 he was in the 5A class and was placed 3rd in Good Conduct and 1st in Drawing. He als o received lessons in violin and piano. |
