S.R. Durand: "Robert's eldest brother, Richard Baldwin, was the owner of the manor at Dundridge in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, England. He died childless, and in his will dated Feb. 18, 1632 gave among his bequests 'Unto Anne Bryant, daughter of Robert Baldwin, my brother and unto Richard Bryant her sonne' specified real estate in Wendover. 31 years later, a deed was executed dated July 20, 1663 from Richard Bryan and his father, Alexander Bryan of Milford in New England, conveying to one Edward Baldwin of Beaconsfield, County Bucks, the real estate in Wendover, Bucks, which was 'given to Anne Bryan mother of said Richard Bryan deceased and to the said Richard Bryan... by the last will and testament of Richard Baldwin of Dundridge...' . Since Anne (Baldwin) Bryan died Feb. 20, 1661, her English property in Wendover was sold by her son, Richard Bryan, two years after her death. His father, Alexander Bryan, must have joined in the deed to convey his courtesy right as the surviving husband of Anne."
