This marriage, originally based on proximity, is confirmed in the Shelburne VR's in the entry for the second marriage on 1 May 1845 of Daniel to Sarah S. Fiske, in which it says; "Daniel, widr., a. 38y. [i.e., b. 1807], farmer, of Westboro, s. E. and M. [i.e., Elijah and Mindwell]..." The Westborough VR's, which has the intent 5 Apr 1845 also shows the birth of a child 19 Mar 1846 to Daniel and Sarah S. F. and then calls her the second wife in parentheses.
