This is a time and place linking, highly probable, but not absolutely proven. Simon's birth record gives no middle initial, the marriage says Simon H. (but his grandmother's maiden name was Hobbs). There is also an intent in Mendon for Simon and a Sarah Johnson of Bellingham, published 2 Dec 1832.
